Air source heat pumps use electricity to operate, and work in a similar way to a fridge

They extract heat from the air outside and use it to warm your home

For every one kilowatt of electricity used they can create up to four kilowatts of heat to warm your radiators and hot water.

The Government is providing grants towards the cost of buying an air source heat pump, and eligible homeowners will get £7,500 off the price of installing one.

Under the scheme, eligible homeowners will be able to receive government grants for the purchase of low-carbon heating systems such as heat pumps, which are more environmentally-friendly than natural gas boilers.

This makes it easier for you to reduce your carbon output and enjoy the savings of a heat pump in a quicker time
